Just how do you know which load cell to utilize for which application? Here is a look at some of the different load cells which are obtainable, a short description, and which usage they are more appropriate for.
Compression Load Cell – DL – load cells are often described by a selection of aspects which people usually wish to know such as its range, its overload, and its accuracy. This compression load cell has a selection of 50, 100, 150, 250, 500, 1.000, 1.500, 2.000, 3.000, 4.000, 5.000 kg. Its overload capacity is around 1000%, and its own accuracy is referred to as Industrial 0.10%, Precision 0.05%, High Precision 0.025%. Because they are designed for impact they are usually used for tanks, bins and hoppers, and hazardous areas.
Pneumatic – this is a different type of a mechanical load cell. It includes a wide weight range and a higher accuracy. On Loadcell are intrinsically safe and it contains no fluids but on the downside they have a slow response rate and they must be cleaned regular with dry air. These types of load cells are usually found in the meals industry and hazardous areas.
